Elk Conservation District Agriculture Enhancement ProgramFY22 Sign-Up ScheduleSpring 2021: Collect your soil samples and mail them out to be ready for signups.Lab turnaround is 4-6 weeks.May 3 - July 12, 2021: Sign up for Fall 2021 projects (Lime & Fence). Practice(s) to be completed by December 17, 2021May 3, 2021 - Jan. 21, 2022: Sign up for Spring 2022 projects - (Nutrient Management (Fertilizer) & Fence) Practice(s) to be completed by June 3, 2022March 1 - May 16, 2022: Sign up for Urban Ag Program (Tumbler Compost Bins, Straw Mulch, Raised Beds, Rain Barrel, Soil). Practice(s) to be completed by June 17, 2022ALL SOIL TEST RESULTS MUST BE TURNED INTO THE ECD OFFICE BY THE PROGRAM SIGNUP DEADLINE.New tests are required annually. Please label your soil tests with the field number that matches your USDA Farm map.As you can see, the Elk Conservation District will no longer offer Nutrient Management for fall signup or Lime for spring. You can get a program applications by stopping by the office or having one mailed or emailed to you. You can also find the applications on our website (wvca.us/districts/ecd.cfm) and Facebook page (facebook.com/ElkConservationDistrict).
