The Greenbrier Valley Conservation District's Agricultural Enhancement Committee, Grassland Committee, Building/Equipment Committee, Finance and 319 Committees meet on the second Wednesday of each month beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room of the Lewisburg USDA Service Center. The purpose of the meetings is to review status of programs and projects, new applications and contracts, verifications for payments and discuss additional practices to be offered in the near future as future grassland events and status of district buildings and equipment, 319 program update, review of proposed contracts and payments.
Due to the Veteran's Day holiday, there will be no November committee meetings with exception of the GVCD Finance Committee, which will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015. The purpose of the Finance Committee meeting is to discuss plans for construction of a new building on the equipment lot, and possible purchase of a small tractor.
The public is welcome to attend all meetings.
