WCD Funds Lime Practice Agreements  

 

Through the Agriculture Enhancement Program (AgEP) offered locally by the Western Conservation District (WCD), applications were taken for the installation of bulk lime on farm fields.   A special meeting was held on August 5, 2021, for the purpose of reviewing and approving lime applications.  All ranked lime applications were approved for cost share assistance for a total of $45,258.70.

Kendall Wandling;  Wilma Harrison;  Robert Thomas;  Rose Dean; Teresa Waugh; John Hatfield; Justin Matheny; Charles Bedwell;  Jo White; Luther Bannister; Bobby Roush; Mark Witt; Violet Wandling; Shawn Gaylor; Audrey R Parsons; Barbara Roush; Stephen Chapman; Nextgen Genetics;  Kyle McCausland; James Pullins;  William Hamon;  Ed Smolder;  George B Hoffman; Charles Lipscomb, WCD Supervisor; H+H Farms; H+H Cattle INC.; Chris Deweese; Forrest Deweese;  Joe Casto; William Scott Parsons; Tim Witt; Donald Husserl; Brenda Kirk; Walt Roush; Harry Snowden; Robin Chestnut; David McDaniel; Joe Hoffman; and William Zuspan. 

The WCD makes available for lease two lime spreaders: a two-ton and six-ton, for spreading lime.  Cooperators from Mason, Jackson and Putnam counties are in the Western Conservation District.  



LIME SPREADERS FOR RENT - 7/6/21

LIME SPREADERS AVAILABLE FOR RENT

The WCD has two lime spreaders for rent.  A six ton Piquea which was purchased this spring and a two ton Stolfus bulk lime spreaders.  The six ton is housed in Mason County with District Supervisor, Jeremy Grant as the contact to reserve it for use.  Jeremy can be reached at 304-939-3901, please leave a message with contact information. 

The two ton spreader is housed in Jackson County at the USDA Service Center.  To reserve the two ton contact the NRCS office at 304-372-6231 x3. 

A lease agreement will need to be signed before taking the equipment.  A copy of your driver's license and a deposit is also required before taking the equipment.

The six ton has a deposit of $150.  The two ton deposit is $100.
