Public meetings scheduled to address the future of Mercer, Ritchie dams

 

Public meeting notices have gone out for two meetings on March 7 and March 8 to help the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and partners including the West Virginia Conservation Agency plan for the future of dams in Mercer and Ritchie counties.

The public meeting on March 7 at 6:30 p.m. will be online and at the Gardner Center, 241 Mercer Springs Road, Princeton, West Virginia, 24740, and will address the Brush Creek No. 12 dam.

The public meeting for the Bonds Creek No. 1 dam in Ritchie County will be March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pennsboro City Hall, 422 Main Street, Pennsboro, West Virginia, 26415.
